One of our company’s functions with regards to the certification of goods is validation of compliance of Ex-equipment and Ex-components to the requirements of technical regulations of Customs Union "On safety of equipment to be used in potentially explosive environments" (TR CU 012/2011) in order to obtain the certificate of explosion protection or “Ex”.

Explosion proof equipment (Ex components) is a special type of electronic equipment that was designed to prevent and exclude minor possibility of ignition of surrounding explosive environment when this equipment is in use. This equipment is specifically designed to be used in an explosive environment, that’s why its production and operation require a certificate of explosion protection – “Ex”.

In order to be used in an explosive environment Ex equipment needs to be certified  for compliance with the technical regulations of the Customs Union "On safety of equipment for using in potentially explosive environments" (TR CU 012/2011). Confirmation of compliance (conformity assessment) of such equipment is mandatory and is performed in the form of certification.
